Blackjack Classic - Game Overview

The aim of this game is to get your hand closer to 21 than the dealer's, without going over and busting.

Landing 21 with your first two cards will award blackjack.

The player and the dealer will both be dealt two cards to start the game.

One of the dealer's cards is face-up, while the other is face down.

You can choose to hit, stand, double down, or split your hand.

The dealer must hit on any hand of 16 or less.

They will stand on any hand of 17+.

Should your hand be equal to the dealer's, a push is declared and your stake will be returned.

Insurance

Should the dealer's first card be an Ace, you are offered the chance to buy insurance.

This offsets the risk of the dealer having blackjack.

Insurance costs half of your initial stake.

If the dealer does have blackjack, your original wager is lost and the insurance bet is paid out.

Even Money

If you have blackjack but the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, you can take even money.

Even money pays 1:1.

Splitting

The split options offers you the chance to turn two matching cards into two separate hands.

Splitting a hand creates two separate bets, costing twice your original stake.

Should you choose to split Aces, neither hand will be eligible to win blackjack.

You can split hands up to three times.

Double Down

Choosing this option will double your original bet and draw one final card.

You have the option to choose whether your additional card is dealt facing up or down.

The expected return is the amount we pay out to players relative to the amount of wagering on the game.

For example, if we take $100 of wagers we will, on average, pay out $99.59.
